Board of Directors
WJSA is lead by a board of directors who are elected at the State Show in June each year. Board members must be 12-21 years old by January 1st to serve on the board.
Junior Membership
WJSA is open to all youth ages 8 to 21 as of January 1st who are interested in Shorthorn and ShorthornPlus cattle. All paid members will be listed in the WSA Directory.

Scholarships
WSA offers scholarships to students beginning or continuing their education in a post-secondary program. Applicant must be a dues paying member of WJSA, pursue a post-secondary degree, show cattle above the county level, and have a satisfactory scholastic record. Applications must be postmarked or submitted by June 1st.

American Junior Shorthorn Association
National Junior Shorthorn Show and Youth Conference
Wisconsin Junior Shorthorn Association members are encouraged to attend the National Junior Shorthorn Show and Youth Conference. The event moves around the country and is typically held in June or July each year. Exhibitors must be a paid member of the American Junior Shorthorn Association to participate in the cattle show and youth contests.

Friend of WJSA
The Wisconsin Junior Shorthorn Association established the Friend of WJSA Award in 2012 to recognize those who actively show support for Shorthorn youth to help make WJSA a successful organization. The award is presented annually and is selected by members who attend the Junior meeting at the Wisconsin State Shorthorn Show.
